All I want for Christmas is…

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year!

I did not get to shop as much as I wished I could this year, and it’s good because my wallet is full of cobwebs right now, but I did get to do a lot of window shopping (& computer screen shopping) for my future purchases.

I envy those who live in the UK, because I recently stumbled upon this store. Topshop. I’m not a big fan of jewelry (except earrings), but there were a few unique bracelets that they had listed – I especially like the Square Bead Bracelet.

Other than clothing and jewelry, I also developed a great affinity for deco- and DIY.

First of all, I’ve been scouring the Internet for a decent design and fair price for deco tape, but it was more “rare” than I thought. That, or I’m not looking in the right places.

I’ve always wanted to start up a scrapbook, but my brain always goes dead when it comes to creating spontaneous designs. For me, a design normally takes a couple days to be fully complete, because I’ll do a bit day by day. I suppose it’s not the quantity that matters, but I’m afraid that if it takes that long for me to do one page, I’ll lose my motivation quickly. Hence, my decision to not splurge on scrapbook hauls and various “かわいい” items yet.

Another project that I’ve thought of doing over the break are soap stamps. Making them are an easier ‘level’ of DIY, I suppose. And given that I’ve made them once before in my younger years, I don’t think it would be that difficult. I was thinking of carving out an owl, but my mom thinks owls symbolizes death, so I’m going to change it.

And my last DIY that I hope to achieve, is from ParkandCube herself. I remembered looking back at her DIY projects, and I really wanted to try this one out (which I haven’t yet). I used to think moccasins were ugly things =(. Sorry to anyone who was offended by this, but no fear! My mind has changed, and I think this style of moccasin is quite cute! They still look just as great without the studs, and now I am determined to buy myself a pair for the upcoming summer if I remember. I really will ditch flats, because they are so uncomfortable to me..well, some. I think I prefer shoes that cover my whole foot though, due to very uneven tan lines last summer. Also, because I’m a very greedy person, and only like to be the only one at school to wear a certain clothing or style, I hope a random mocassin wave doesn’t suddenly become a trend there. I remember wanting to buy gladiator flats one time, but everyone at school began wearing them, so I had to ditch them. I know it difficult for a single person to be unique, especially in a school of exploding trends and styles, but that is why I will keep my eye on mocassins and wear them as soon as the weather is warm enough.
